How to - custom image marker

January 18, 2012 - 11:27am #1

Qualcomm ar plugin for unity3d works perfectly on my ipad2 and idevices
built from xcode 4.x using Unity3.4.

Now, I want to try using my own custom marker. I created one via the browser based utility and downloaded the package. Imported the files into my scene:
new files for custom marker:
marker_Scaled.jpg

config.xml
qcar-resources.dat

Now what?
I'm not able to select any of these as data sets in appropriate drop down list.
Any tips greatly appreciated and when is this plugin out of beta and available for commercial use?

Cheers!

Once 1.5 is out of beta you'll be able to commercialize apps with these new features. No official timeline yet, stay tuned!

Thx so much. It works!

Just needed to use the rename menu at top of the editor.

When can this be used for a commercial app on the Apple App Store?
I want to use this feature ASAP!

You need to run the Rename 1.0.x Data Set tool in the QCAR menu. If the QCAR menu hasn't appeared try saving the project. This step is outlined in the 1.5 documentation, available here.
