January 15, 2013 - 4:16am #1

Hi,

I recently has been watch this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2jSzmvm_WA Video, and this is good to know that its developed by qualcomm. I want to do same sort of project in Unity3d, I already have developed few apps using Vuforia SDK. Before jumping into project I need help from this video that how you guys did.

  • How to detect more than two markers at time in Vuforia because I googled but found that this is not possible.
  • How to detect 3d Object(bert and Ernie).
  • How to detect 2nd marker when its comes in plan of First Markers.

My next whole apps depend on these question, so this very important for me before starting new App. This will be great for me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,    How to detect more

Hi,

    How to detect more than two markers at time in Vuforia because I googled but found that this is not possible.

You can detect more than 2 markers (I guess in this case you mean Image Targets, btw); you need to click on the ARCamera and set the "Max Simultaneous Image Targets" (in QCARBehaviour inspector view) to a value higher than 2;

if you are instead referring to Frame Markers (and not Image targets), it is also perfectly possible to have more than 2 markers (see Frame Markers sample)

This feature is not supported in the current version of the SDK (the sesamestreet demo was a demo with some experimental ad-hoc features)

I think you refer here to the problem of "occlusion"; to some extent, Vuforia allows tracking your targets even if partially occluded; you would need to make a little test however to verify if that is sufficient for your specific needs.

I hope this helps.
