How to make 3d object position depend on image position

September 3, 2016 - 11:44pm #1

Hello, everyone!

I'm newbie in Vuforia SDK. I have set a 3d object as a child of image target. But when I try to view the results, a 3d object is displayed in some static position. And I want 3d object to be displayed in position right on the top of image, wherever it's show. How may I do this?

If the object is indeed a child of the ImageTarget...it will move in relation to it. It's position relative to the target will be identical to the way it is in the editor, before pressing the play button. The only way to break this is if you set the "static" checkbox for that object...which is a sensible thing to do if you were baking lightmaps or a navmesh. Or if you have some other code overriding the transform. Or, you didn't really set it up as a child. Maybe take a picture of your Hierarchy panel from the editor so others can see what you actually did.
