How to make two marker positions affect the third marker target.

February 21, 2017 - 2:15am #1

Hello . So I recently started using the Vuforia kit.. It's amazing for AR stuff.

Although I've stumbled upon an issue.

HERE's the INTENT what I'm trying to do?

I'm trying to put a image Marker and use the Android Unity App to see the 3d model over the marker, but through VR. Which I've achieved successfully. Next I wanted to do is use two more small markers in the AR acting as cursors , for small actions like scaling and moving the AR object on the first target.

WHAT I've figured out?

The actual objects over the markers in the runtime do not move. If there is one Marker, then the camera moves, if there's two markers, then the camera and the 2nd detected marker moves RELATIVE to the position of the ARCamera.

WHAT I want to Know?

Is there a way I can find the positions of the two cursor markers (make them move in some way) and get their true screen XYZ positions which I can then use to affect the behavior(scale position etc.) third target on a third marker?

Hi, I know this is an old post but I am trying to do something similar. Does anybody figured a solution?

I want to have one object on imageTarget and control its scale and rotation using another marker.

Many thanks for your help in advance

Hello,

Please review this post: https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/faq/unity-how-can-i-get-target-screen-coordinates

Likely a bit dated, but perhaps it will provide the hints you need.

Thanks.
