November 30, 2012 - 2:03am #1

Hi All,

I am trying to work with Virtual buttons which is there in Vuforia website for changing the color of the Teapot.

I took an output and cheked on my Android device. After tracking the target(Stoneandwood Example), The Teapot is displayed and changes the color of a teapot automatically without moving my fingers infront of the screen.

It displays all the colors of teapot randomly after tracking .

and Even i faced stability problem in my own examples after tracking the targets(Which is using Image targets).

Please guide me to get my outputs stable..

  Sorry for my bad English.

Thank you in advance........

How to make Virtual button sample stable ?

May 7, 2013 - 4:22am #9

Hello there,

I'm new to Vuforia and I tried out modifying the Virtual Buttons too. After I changed the position of all the four buttons into a vertical position, it appears that the 3rd button becomes unstable and keeps changing the color of the teapot even though my finger wasn't on the button. I toggled off the button and everything appeared normal and stable. I couldn't figure out what is going on and it was tested in good lighting conditions.

Can someone enlighten me about this problem? Thanks.

Hi Ravilavs,

Is this a new thread topic different to the one below?  If so, in future please create a new thread with the correct title so you can get help quicker.

Vuforia does not track 3D objects.

In your case you have taken a picture and are using this to track it.  If the current position matches the objects position when a photo was taken then it could maybe track, but eventually if it or the camera moves it is easy to understand why they would not match and hence track.

Vuforia is not yet designed for this, but maybe one day:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T70hgNvpUxE

How to make Virtual button sample stable ?

Hi,

 I am using Image Target:

I captured image(some X.jpg) from a 3D model and used that image(X.jpg) to create it as a trackable. After creating a trackable from the Vuforia site.

I downloaded the file as .unitypackage and used for tracking.

If i took printout of the image(X.jpg) and checked for tracking, it works perfectly and even it is tracking the original 3D model also.

My Question is :

In case of Original 3D model the tracking is not Stable.    Why ?

Is there any method to make it stable while tracking the Original 3D model ?

Please guide me in this..

Thank you in advance.....

It's not bright light itself, it's glare -when the light is so bright in a spot that it 'blows out' the image (i.e. appears white ).

A few questions..

Have you modified the Virtual Buttons sample?

Have you seen this on any other devices?

The behavior that you're seeing indicates that something is wrong. VB's are stable under normal circumstances.

 One more question is :

If i run my Image Target application in Bright light will it not be stable output ?

Because i am facing Target unstable in Image Target application in different lighting conditions.

I am using Unity version 3.5.5f3 and my Android device is Sony Tablet(Android version 3.2).

     Please guide me.

I am waiting for valuable reply.

Thank you in Advance.......

Is there bright light relfecting on the target? The VB can be triggered if there is glare in the VB region.

If this is not the case, please tell me which Unity version you are using and the device(s) you're seeing this on.
