Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but my team was working on an AR game and we were looking into using Vuforia. Wanting to explore the possibilities with Vuforia, I came to ask if it's possible to do some sort of "inverted projection" with it.
What I mean by "inverted projection" is to display the game world not as if coming out of the marker on the wall, but as if going into the marker (and into the wall) through visual illusion. Such as in the "hollow face" effect - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc6LRxjqzkA
We are creating a 3rd person action game. I was hoping to use vuforia to say, put a marker on a wall, and project a "window" into the game world. I tried looking around to see if this has been done already but I couldn't find anything. Any ideas? Is there a proper name for this? Is what I'm describing even possible?
Thank you for reading and any help is really appreciated. Complete beginner here.
I have done this exact thing before as AlessandroB suggests.
I set out a series of planes set to depthmask with a square area in the middle which I place a sunken box with items inside. Result it looked like I was looking into the box set inside a wall / table
