iPhone4 performance issue

I found the performance on iPhone4 is very low, the camera screen is not smooth enough and become choppy. While the same app running on iPad2 is very smooth, also very good on Samsung Galaxy 2.

After searching the forum, it seems it is a old problem. I am using the latest Vuforia 2.0 SDK and Unity 3.5.6f4.

Do I need to tweak something in order to improve the performance? Or it is the problem of the iPhone4?

Hi samme,

I am using the latest Vuforia 2.0 SDK and Unity 3.5.6f4.

It might also be worth trying Unity4 to see if there have been any improvements in this regard.

Only the 4, the 4S provides better performance.

Is it only appear in iPhone4/iPhone4S? iPhone5 not having this problem?

Hi, it seems the iPhone4 has some performance issue with uploading/updating testures, which is likely why the video background rendering is not super smooth;

have a look at this thread too:

There is no other update for the moment on this subject.
