Marker question

January 11, 2012 - 1:52am #1

How do I get rid of the 3D model when I hide the markers?

You do not need to put anything as a child of the ARCamera.

You associate a 3D object with a trackable by making it a child of that trackable. ImageTargets, MultiTargets, and FrameMarkers are all trackables.

Attach the TrackableEventHandler script to your trackable.

Your scene might look like this:

ARCamera
ImageTarget (with TrackableEventHandler component)
> 3D Object

Take a look at the ImageTargets sample.

The samples come with a TrackableEventHandler script in the Scripts folder. Copy that to your project and drag it onto the Trackable object in your scene. That script will turn off the renderers of any child objects when tracking is lost.

Note: With QCAR 1.5 there is a DefaultTrackableEventHandler that is already attached to the various trackable prefabs.

I have to put all objects in the main marker as children or under ARCAMERA? And I put the script on what object? the 3d, in ARCAMERA or markers? Thanks in advance
