Mesh Renderer on/off Problem. Sample scene problem??

I have loaded a basic cube primitive into the " Image Target "  teapot scene.   When I hit play the teapot is displayed on the target image but my primitive cube is not visible.  I have it directly parented to the tea pot..   I notice every time the scene starts the cube's mesh renderer  turns off.   I can turn it on during playback & the cube actually appears in the scene as it should.  But  this is not right as changing values during runtime is only a temp fix.  ...  If  I move the iPad away from the image target and back again the cube's. Mesh renderer also turns off again.  This is the same for all objects I load into a scene.. Only the tea pots  mesh renderer component seems to operate properly.  

 Is this a problem with the test scene ?  Note:  if I turn the tower object's. Mesh renderer to on it also disappears each time the scene reloads.  

It it never did this in the past.  Am I the only one having this issue or is this a common problem with the test scene ??
