Occlude imagetarget

January 7, 2012 - 3:40pm #1

Hello
I am trying to make a game which protrudes below the image target, like a 3d crater but I'm not sure how to occlude the image target to show the model below the marker. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? Thanks

Nevermind. I must have set the shader in the inspector to mobile/diffuse. I set it back to DepthMask and it's working again.

Just to clarify. When I was dragging the material from the project folder directly to the plane in the view it was not working. When I selected the plane, then clicked on the material drop down in the Inspector and chose DepthMask it worked perfectly.

Hi,

This is not working for me for some reason. In the past if I just imported the "imageTargets" project it worked perfectly.

I do have the DepthMask material within the Qualcomm Augmented Reality/Materials/ folder...

When I apply it to a plane created in Unity it looks kinda blue from one side, and it is invisible from the other side, but it doesn't occlude anything.

Should I be importing a DepthMask from a specific package?

Thank You!

We also include a DepthMask material in the Qualcomm Augmented Reality/Materials folder. Apply that to a mesh that obscures the outer walls of your crater (e.g. a plane with a hole cut out).

You can use a Depth Mask shader for this: http://www.unifycommunity.com/wiki/index.php?title=DepthMask
The forum has been hacked yesterday. If you want the package just tell me.
