OSX editor crashes when changing scene and targets not found

January 19, 2015 - 5:31am #1

Hi,

I am running Unity 4.6.1 and using Vuforia 3.0.9. When I leave a scene which has ImageTargets inside it, and I they have not been triggered at least once since that scene has loaded, the editor crashes. I have attached the log file for reference which shows the crash. Hopefully this provides something to go on. This also occured on Unity 4.6 with the same Vuforia plugin.

Any help would be appreciated. Its easy to forget that this bug is occuring, and the editor crashing can sometimes lead to lost work.

If you're using the default dataset containing stones and chips, then go ahead and drag a 2nd image target prefeb to your scene and assign the chips to it and then see if you can reproduce the crash.

A few questions:

  1. How many DataSets are in your scene?

  2. How many Targets in each of your DataSets in that scene?

  3. Is each Target in the DataSet(s) assigned to a corresponding Target prefab object?

  1. There is 1 DataSet in the scene
  2. The DataSet is the drdault StonesAndChips one
  3. I am just using the Stones for an ImageTarget

I have just done a quick test, and it seems the issue is related to the new TrackableEventHandler I created. It turns GameObjects on and off when its tracked/lost. I have added in some code to handle the application quitting, but it still crashes. I assume this is not a Vuforia issue, but my own issue, however if you have any help it would be appreciated. I have attached the scrtipt.
