Overlaying an image on an image target

Hello,

 

I was just wondering if there are any up-to-date tutorials on how to overlay an image on an image target. 

 

I am looking to build an app which places a tappable image on top of image targets. Any help with this would be appreciated. I've searched the forum for answers, but there are no posts that consicely outline how to do this.

If you know that the image is going to be rectangular:

  1. menu GameObject -> 3D Object -> Quad
  2. drag the Quad onto your Image Target prefab so that it becomes its child
  3. with the Quad selected, check the Transform fields in the Inspector. Typically you want the scale to be set to {1,1,1}
  4. create a Material using your image as a texture map
  5. drag the Material onto the Quad

I guess you could create a plane and put the image on it? The plane should be a child of the target
