Physical location, Unity Ios & Android

March 16, 2012 - 11:13pm #1

I may be having a mental block here, but I have 2 image targets each with their own 3d game object.
The problem is that I want the objects to appear in the 3d space of the scene relative to their real world image targets, ie if target a is further from the camera than target a's 3d object should appear behind target b's
but it doesn't seem to be cooperating.

I may be missing something but I just wanted to throw this out there in case there was some kind of limitation on what we are able to do.(And I'm tired)

The relative sizes of the targets in Unity need to be the same as the relative sizes of the printed targets for this to work.

Also, the objects are only guaranteed to be positioned correctly in relation to each other while they are simultaneously tracked. If you need to build up the relationship between targets over time you may want to look into Elecman's unified coordinate system project: http://ar.qualcomm.at/node/2001030
