Popup Image Button on Target Detection

December 13, 2016 - 9:08am #1

Hi guys,

New to both - Vuforia and Unity. We have a few targets - some are to play videos and some to send user to URL. For go to URL popup button we use 2D Sprite together with Box Collider 2D and the script to send to URL. Problem is that 2D Sprite with Box Collider 2D are meant to be in X-Y plane and when added are perpendicular to the image target:

// Note: the target reference plane in Unity is X-Z,

// while Y is the normal direction to the target plane

If we turn Sprite around X by 90° the Collider (the clickable area) becomes "unbound" and stays in X-Y, while Sprite becomes parallel to the image target, so the clickable area shrinks in the horizontal line in the middle of the Sprite.

So if someone could help, please, to answer the question: is it possible and how to change Vuforia's target reference plane in Unity to X-Y instead of X-Z, so we can use 2D Sprite with Box Collider 2D or, if not, is there any other simple way to add Popup Image Button?

TIA,

Gennady
