[Q] What headers to include / which libraries?

December 22, 2013 - 11:52am #1

Hi,

I am using Unity3D with Vuforia but I can't figure out how to access Vuforia code from C# in MonoDevelop.

- which headers do I need to include?

- which Vuforia libraries do I need to include and, most importantly, where should they live on my harddisk?

In particular, I'm trying to access the pose matrix.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Simply  import the Vuforia extension to your project and add your code files to the project's Assets folder, either in Assets itself or a subdirectory.  Unity will resolve the Vuforia references automatically. The only include that you'll need will be for the Unity Engine ( using UnityEngine; ) and any Mono System libraries that you utilize. Take a look at the libraries that we provide with the samples to see how custom classes are implemented.

In Unity, the Pose matrix is mapped to the .transform property of the target. To obtain the pose of a target, set your World Center Mode, on the ARCamera, to Camera so that the ARCamera serves as scene origin and the targets are posed relative to that point.
