hi Kim,

i've now solved my problem so no more initial crashes!

i think the error i've made was:
i forget to set some images as "GUI".
i think that leaving them as "TEXTURES" was too hard to load in the initial phase of app.

thanks a lot

I'm not sure what could have been causing the initial crash... We would need to know more about your project to troubleshoot. Let us know if you see the problem again.

I wonder if this Unity thread is related:

hi kim, thanks again for replying and helping me.

today i've tried again building from unity my app again.

- i fixed my gui to be executive both on ipad and on iphone.

- build it, run & crash after the unity splashscreen both on ipad and on iphone.

- this time i decided to restart the two devices after the installation... and it goes on both devices!
i've tried several times and now seems the apps go without problem..

-what do you think about the initial crash??

the two warnings you underline to me are still presents during the builds on xcode..but it seems that when xcode run the app , it doesn't find a lib (i could try reinstall xcode)

best regards
Francesco

I don't think I've seen these warnings before:

Quote:

warning: Unable to read symbols for /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/4.3.5 (8L1)/Symbols/System/Library/Extensions/IMGSGX543GLDriver.bundle/IMGSGX543GLDriver (file not found).
warning: No copy of IMGSGX543GLDriver.bundle/IMGSGX543GLDriver found locally, reading from memory on remote device. This may slow down the debug session.

Do you also get those in the version that works (before adding the GUI)?

Does the same GUI work in a project that doesn't use QCAR? If so, could you give us more details on what you are adding that causes the crash?

Thanks,

- Kim
