Same coordinates for two Image-Targets gameObjects

November 28, 2011 - 5:02am #2

I'm trying to make two gameObjects that are parented to two different Image Targets interact. One is a projectile-shooting object and the other is simple a Cube waiting to receive that all lovely explosive collisions.

I'm ware after some testing that moving the Image Targets at my device camera view isn't really moving that gameObjects in Unity3D Scene. E.g: Picking up this piece of paper with the image target printed on and pulling it to the side isn't changing the Transform Position of the gameObject in the X axis.

So, how can I really move these objects in the scene while moving the image targets, so that I don't have the illusion that two people are talking with other nose-to-nose when in fact they are at different rooms of the house?

Oh, that includes rotation too.

I've done some searching here at boards, and I think that saw some people experiencing the same problem as I(can't be sure because describing this scenario is somewhat difficult) and the response they get always have something to do with Pose Matrices. I'm really not into maths since high-school but matrices are fine even for me, but I did not managed to find a good example of these Pose Matrices put in action.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

As a start, try setting the World Center Mode on the ARCamera to NONE. This will hold the camera stationary in your scene, while all the trackables move in front of it.
