Hi,
we have a large marker (1m x 1m) and it should be possible to view just a part of the marker (very close distance between marker and pad) to view details. We've tested it using a normal A4 printout and it worked quiet well. But with the big marker we have problems in finding a track when we are already very close.
So my idea was to split up the marker into 4 pieces register these markers and place my imagetarges in the scene so they make up the big marker. Thats working well but from time to time the object is shifting away from its original position (when moving from marker A to marker B).
I've also tried to use a multimarker: made a box and moved the positions of the sides inside the xml so I have my plane marker again. But that didn't work at all. The object is placed in weird positions like correct size with the bottom left corner at the right side of the bottom left marker; correct position but double the size and so on. Also its shifting very much when shaking the camera. So I've stopped using multimarkers and try to figure out a better way to use normal imagetargets.
Anyone got experience with big markers in close distance or split up markers?
Not sure if the UCS project would be good for this project. I don't want the user to record the marker positions first and I don't want to spend money on the extra extensions :) Also my marker positions are known (2x2 square)
Hy Strasza,
thank you for your help!
I´ll try my best with single image targets.
Best regards
Manu
