Submission question using Unity generated .apk

January 12, 2011 - 6:19am #1

Hi,

In the submission guideline, it says to copy all contents required to a folder called COPY_TO_SD_CARD.

In Unity, we simply import models through their interface, and use those imported models for our AR scene. Do you know if the generated .apk by Unity contains all of the necessary models without the need to load anything from a content folder from the SD card? Sorry, I'm a newbie for Android development, and I don't know what exactly are included in the .apk file.

Thanks
Ohan

Yes, for Unity everything is contained inside the APK file, no sdcard folder required. Even for the base SDK, most applications will be completely self-contained in the APK file. You will know if you've been placing content separately on the sdcard, it is a conscious choice :)
