Unity extension fix for IOS7 and IOS8 width/height

December 15, 2014 - 3:19am #1

The link below details how to fix the discrepancy between the sizes reported by IOS7 and IOS8 but does so for native IOS.

Is there an equivalent for the projects created via the Unity Extension?

Or could someone refer me to the .mm files I need to amend to get the same result as this fix as obviously the thread details files relavent to the Books sample app and has many files not present in a statndard extension export

Thanks

I see... well, this is really something you need to ask on the Unity forums, as the GUI.matrix and GUI.Button are Unity API, not Vuforia ones.

Unity extension fix for IOS7 and IOS8 width/height

Hi, thanks...Yes I am already using unity 4.6.1f1 but get a different result when on an IOS7 device and IOS8 devices

Namely this:

GUI.matrix = Matrix4x4.TRS(new Vector3(GUIsF.x,GUIsF.y,0),Quaternion.identity,GUIsF);

GUI.Button (new Rect ((Screen.width/2)-256, (Screen.height/2)-256512512), overlayButtonstyleLost);

So using this code on IOS8 the overlay image always appears centred in either orientation but on IOS7 the overlay appears in the top left?

Thanks

In Unity you shoudl not need to manually fix this.

The Xcode project generated by Unity should already take this into account.

However, if you want to be sure to get the right support of iOS 8 and Xcode 6, make sure to use the latest Unity 4.5.5 patch release 4.5.5 "p5"

which you can download from here:

http://unity3d.com/unity/qa/patch-releases

OR, you could also upgrade to Unity 4.6, if you like.
