Unity Frame Markers and Image Markers

July 17, 2015 - 12:21pm #1

I am using both Frame Markers and Image Markers in an AR project. However my Frame Markers models are always rendering underneath the Image Marker models. I am not really sure how to fix the issue. I have tried to change the shader for the frame marker model by changing the render queue to geometry + 100, however that did not work.

I solved the issue by realizing that the framemarker scale was too high with respect to the scale of the image target. Therefore the AR Camera was compensating by making the framemarker augmentation appear underneath the image marker augmentation.

If the frame marker and image target in physical space are on the same surface, you should check the placement of the augmentations relative to their virtual targets in the Unity Scene view to make sure they are not hovering above the targets. While in PlayMode, you can nav around the Scene view to see how the geometry is placed.
