Unity + iOs: "Undefined symbols for achitecture"

May 25, 2015 - 11:33pm #1

Hello all,

I've been tasked with compiling an app for iPad using Vuforia, and use Unity 5.0.1f1 for the development. Unity is installed on a windows 7 rig and I transfer the exported project to a mac setup for deployment.

My problem is that whenever I attempt to build the xcode project to the iPad, XCode returns a bunch of "Undefined symbols for achitecture" errors at the project. I have tried forcing architecture to either ARMv7, ARM64 or Universal to no effect. Scripting backend is set to IL2CPP and graphics API is set to Open GL ES 2.0 as per recommended. iOs deployment target is forced to 8.1 in Unity (latest available) and 8.3 in XCode (actual deployment target).

I really need an answer ASAP as I need to have this done by 17h today - in 9 hours. Thanks in advance for any answer or insight.

Ok I managed to figure it out with a colleague. The mistake was to compile a project for iOs on Windows and then sending it to Xcode. Compiling the project on mac fixed the issue.
