Unity3D + Trail Renderer

August 16, 2011 - 9:07am #1

I created a scene in Unity3D, which contains a cube to which I applied the Trail Renderer (menu Components->Particles->Trail Renderer) to show a trailing line as the object moves via an animation. It all renders just fine in Unity - I see a nice purple trailing line behind the object as it moves, but when I use the Unity Extension to deploy the scene on my Samsung tablet, I see the box move in the expected way, but the trailing line is very short and disappears much, much faster than the one in Unity3D. Is this a compatibility issue that I can't resolve or is it something I can fix myself?

Any help will be much appreciated!

Can I ask what settings you are using with your particle system? I did a test starting with the MultiTargets sample, adding a Trail Renderer to the bowl model with the following settings:

Material: Default-Particle
Start Width: 10
End Width: 10
Colors: defaults

This seems to work as expected. Are you making your cube a child of the trackable object?
