Upgrading your existing Beta 2 applications

April 27, 2011 - 10:01am #1

Hi all,

So the beta period is over, and as you know this means exciting things in terms of allowing you to distribute, market, and promote your QCAR applications. But first, you have to upgrade to the latest release (1.0.0).

For Unity this process can be a little tricky, so we've put together a guide that will hopefully help. It's a sticky at the top of this forum section: https://ar.qualcomm.com/arforums/showthread.php?t=420

Since that sticky is closed, I wanted to open this thread as a place for you to bring up any issues you may run into during the upgrade process. Let us know how we can help!

Check out the sample applications for an implementation of the ITrackableEventHandler interface that contains OnTrackingLost and OnTrackingFound methods (Scripts/TrackableEventHandler.cs). Just drag that script onto the trackable objects in your scene.

Hey Kim,

I quickly saw that the Trackablebehavior.cs doesn't have the OnTrackingFound() && OnTrackingLost() functions anymore. What do you recommend as the best option for knowing when tracking is lost? Should we build something to watch mStatus?
