Video See-Through - use black-area

April 17, 2016 - 4:46am #1

Hey,

I do wanted to ask, if one is able to achieve what I attached.

Because of the limited fov of the camera, we get the 'huge' black area on each eye. I do want to use this area to display content or expand my virtual world (like on picture).

Right now this area is wasted, but if I could use this space to display a menu or something (canvas in world space) it would be good. But everything is cut right now, if it is outside the camera picture.

Thanks

Nico

Nice thanks, that's the correct way to do it yeah :)

I was just going to complain about not getting notified for your comment, but I found the notification in spam :/

Another possible way of achieving the same is to act on the <Video Background Manager> component (script) attached to the ARCamera and change the "Overflow Geometry" settings to NONE.

Got it. In ClippinMask.shader change

Stencil {
            Ref 0
            Comp Equal
}

Ref 0 to Ref 1.

But maybe someone has another way?
