Vuforia with Dive (= Oculus)

April 9, 2014 - 6:36am #1

Hi, I am trying to create a little application for phone (Android)  on Unity.
I want to use the phone camera to detect target.

It's pretty simple tanks to your tutorial.

But now, i want to use this : https://www.durovis.com

It's juste a support for your phone.

So i want to divide my phone screen in two parts, and i also want two ARCamera (Left & Right). But when i did this, I have the "sideBySide.jpg" screen on my laptop but the "sideBySidePhone.png" on my phone. It seems that the background color is still here but i don't understand why...

Vuforia with Dive (= Oculus)

Hi,

well I moved back to PC game development, so I iced this project.

even my Dive slowly weared out as I expected from its plastic material, the thing with which I lock the holder part hardly can closed, the lens are continously dropping, so it seems it is for really amateur use, it cant stand long against frequent usage of a development. :)

but I checked Dive long time ago, maybe some solution/new model for this problem.

cheers,

Gabor

hi, it is a good idea to check other topics, as this problem was/is problem for more people :)  I made also this fault, opening a new topic, but this is discussed in 2013:

this is a good starter:

https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/unity-3-extension-technical-discussion/working-2-cameras

now I was able to make augmented objects on two sides with Dive with background cameras, but I encountered a new problem for which I also found an older topic, unfortunately with no solution...

cheers,
