Vuforia Video Playback

I just installed the Vuforia Video Playback package.

 https://developer.vuforia.com/resources/sample-apps/video-playback-sample-app

I am having trouble on how to make my own apk. to match the sample.

Is their a lot of coding involved? What is the easiest way to set this up?

That's just because the samples have been re-worked, so the same functionality is still present in the VP sample, but the code is arranged a bit differently.

Anyway, glad it is solved ;-)

Works perfect! Why was the script removed from the Vuforia/Unity Package?

So it seems VideoPlaybackController.cs script no longer is within the Vuforia Unity Package. I used to attach it to the AR camera and the TrackableEventHandler.cs to the target and everything would work. Now that the VideoPlaybackController.cs script is missing I am at a loss as to how to implement the AR video. Can you please advise?

Add the VideoPlaybackController.cs script from the Video Playback sample to you ARCamera, and replace the DefaultTrackableEventHandler on your ImageTarget w/ the TrackableEventHandler from the sample.

That helped. Thank you. Getting closer. Now the video shows up with a play button But when I push it on my phone's touch screen nothing happens.

try adding the file extension to the name of your video file in the Inspector - e.g. filename.mp4

Got the video player to appear on the target. It has a big x on it though. Any thoughts?

Drag the Video instance in your Hierarchy onto the ImageTarget so that it becomes a child of the ImageTarget. Also set its position to 0,0,0 so that it's centered on the target. You may need to adjust the scale as well. I'd also recommend importing the VideoController script from the Video Playback sample as that will provide useful methods for handing user interactions.

The Unity Video Playback sample project should be easy to customize w/o additional coding. Simply add your video to the streaming assets folder, name the video in the prefab's inspector and set-up your ImageTargets.

What's the issue that you're encountering? - a screengrab of your project may help to diagnose any problems.
