Vuforia Video Streaming - Direct URL's and the YouTube Problem.

October 8, 2013 - 5:52pm #1

Does anybody who uses Vuforia videos, and streams a bunch of video, have any advice on a best way to do it?

Of course we'd like to use YouTube to just access the videos we already have up there, but then there's the Direct URL thing that gets in the way. Vimeo, Daily motion, they all seem to be the same deal.

Is there a best practices method of streaming 20+ videos to a Vuforia AR app? Amazon S3 servers?

Can someone recommend a hosting service, that allows Direct URL's and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Guys,

This is nothing to do with Vuforia, more to do with Unity.

My suggestion is to break the problem down and focus on Video Streaming in Unity, which basically means go over to the Unity site, search the forums and the Asset Store to see if there is anything that can help you.

Once you have it working in isolation, then you can think about how you might apply it to Vuforia - but expect this to be non-trivial.

roborb I'm very sorry it's not related to your topic but I need to ask you and I'm very desperate, could you share how to read video streaming url sample with unity? If you help me I would be thankfully.
