What is this Unzip, and why is it ruining my life?

Hi, I'm trying to compile my project and cant seem to shake these errors:

x:\Users\Yeoman\Documents\New Unity Project\Assets\Editor\QCAR\Scripts\ComponentFactoryStarter\ComponentFactoryStarter.cs(50,50): Error CS0246: The type or namespace name 'VuforiaBehaviourComponentFactory' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?) (CS0246) (Assembly-CSharp-Editor)

x:\Users\Yeoman\Documents\New Unity Project\Assets\Editor\QCAR\Scripts\Unzipper\SharpZipLibUnzipper.cs(16,16): Error CS0103: The name 'Unzip' does not exist in the current context (CS0103) (Assembly-CSharp-Editor)

I also have several warnings. My project refuses to compile because of it, whats the deal? I'm using the most update versions of Unity and Vuforia and my project is pretty bare bones.

Is there a new solution? The project with the old vuforia-sdk is opened with Unity2018: Assets\Vuforia\Editor\Scripts\Unzipper\SharpZipLibUnzipper.cs(29,20): error CS0103: The name 'Unzip' does not exist in the current context

How to deal with it? Urgent need to solve

Restarting Unity or creating a new project have not fixed this issue. If an alternative function or library can be provided while a solution is developed that would be much appreciated.

Also using Unity 2018.3.0f2.

Hello,

Here is some feedback from the team:

  • dlls not importing correctly can be solved by re-opening the project. We've seen this issue creep up in the 2018.3 betas, but it doesn't happen often. We'll investigate further with Unity

And some things to attempt to resolve:

  1. Create a new, empty project
  2. Activate Vuforia in the PlayerSettings, and import the latest VuforiaResources package (you can prompt this by creating an ARCamera in the scene)
  3. Import the content-based assets into the new project if you aren’t able to upgrade an older project directly
  4. If there’s been API changes, then you may have to update the older project code to clear any compiler errors

The above steps are what we've followed internally when testing our core samples and have worked for us.

Thanks,

Vuforia Engine Support

Any advice?

Thanks!

Hey guys!

I've got the same problem: The name 'Unzip' does not exist in the current context (CS0103) (Assembly-CSharp-Editor)

But  clicking on"Reimport" or restarting Unity doesn't solve the error.

It appeared after updating unity to the latest version (2018.3.0f2).

Even when installing Unity, the problem persists.

Can you help me? Thank you so much!

Even faster than restarting Unity, just right click "Reimport" on the Vuforia folder

Ah, it appears I had another error elsewhere in the project. Project compiles fine even with these errors. Still, they are a bit annoying. They distract from the actual errors that are breaking my project? Any idea on how to make them disappear? Are they a threat to the health of my project?
