when referred lighting.It not works

March 31, 2013 - 6:09am #1

Unity4+vuforia 2.

when I chose referred lighting, the screen can not work normally. It did have the added model, but the camera video background can not be shown.

Meantime, on the screen the back is black except the added model.

It seems like the camera which combined the added model and the video background can not work normally.

please help me. Thanks.

I think Deferred Lighting is not supported by Vuforia not Mobile Devices. there is supported. Deferred Lighting is not only about lighting and shadows. There are many dependencies like AntiAliasing techniques which I would like to use, but I can't because I have a big problem in combination with ARCamera and can't use Defreed rendering. This should be the highest priority and issue for Vuforia to solve this problem.

And I'm not going to using it in mobile phone.

Vuforia cannot run on PC; it only supports "Play Mode", which is a special mode used for testing your App on PC before deploying to mobile;

but you won't be able anyway to export your app to an executable for PC (even if in "Play Mode' it can run on PC).

so, there could be something that prevents the deferred lighting to run with teh ARCamera, but essentially this is a use case which is not officially supported by Vuforia (which is only targeting mobile platforms).

AH, sorry for my mistake. Thanks for your kind heart.

YES it is deferred lighting.

I'm trying this in PC windows 7 with good hardware. And I'm not going to using it in mobile phone.

yes mine is unity Pro. when I do not use vuforia, my project can work well. But when use vuforia, it can not work well.

so why my computer can not work?

Thanks again,friend.

Hi,

I presume you mean "deferred lighting" (and not referred lighting), am I correct ?

if that's what you mean, AFAIK deferred lighting is not supported on mobile devices, as stated here in the Unity reference page:

Deferred Lighting is the rendering path with the most lighting and shadow fidelity. It is best used if you have many realtime lights. It requires a certain level of hardware support, is for Unity Pro only and is not supported on Mobile Devices.
