I'm working on an AR Book project. The pages trigger an overlay video with alpha that overlays assets on the page. The effect is that the content of the printed page magically animates when viewed through the AR app. My issue is that the brightness of the video layer is+0 0often too bright compared with the underlying video from the webcam. Ideally I'd like to be able to white balance and color correct my overlay content based on the quality of the trackable image. It seems like some how this should be doable since we have a baseline from the original trackable image vs the one detected through the webcam. I have no idea exactly how to execute this, and I'm wondering if some one is able to suggest a viable method? Thank you.
White Balance / Color Balance
Hi, the paper that you mention in your link is certainly a good start (although yes, it looks relatively complex);
perhaps others in the Forum have some experience in the field to share here..
On the Unity side, just make sure to also read this:
which explains how to get the camera image (if you need it as input for your image procesing).
