World Center Modes, and other stuff

July 16, 2012 - 11:32am #1

Hi, I was wondering if it's possible to change the world center mode during run time?  the property seems to be read-only right now.

Also, is it possible to have a few different image targets that get tracked (after changing the Max Simultanious Image Targets to 2)

and then take a single object, say a box, that gets positioned between thost two targets.  I imaginged un-parenting the box from any image

targets and putting a script on it that lerps it's position to be between the two found tracking images in the real world.  What settings need to change

to get this to work?

Thanks!! -love vuforia, btw

That would be great.  Thanks for the help.  It would open up alot of possibilities to have this working!

If you find a solutions for this please post it. I'll try to look into it myself over the next few days.

Thanks for the answers.  Yes I did want the box to be equal distances from both image targets.  I guess I'd have to add a quaternion lerp in there as well to keep rotations the same in case the targets get rotated. btw, the image targets will be pretty much fixed together as far as their rotations go...it's just the distance between them that will change slightly and randomly.

setting the WCM at runtime is not currently supported.

e.g.

    // This method is used to set the world center mode in the Unity editor.
    // Switching modes is not supported at runtime.
    public void SetWorldCenterMode(WorldCenterMode value)
    {
        if (!Application.isEditor)
            return;

        mWorldCenterMode = value;
    }

Regarding the box. Do you want this to be equidistance from the targets and lying on a line between their centers? Theoretically you should be able to do this from any WCM.
