3d tracking and rendering working but webcam not rendering

Hello everybody!

I just started with vuforia and therefore I followed the super basic guide for beginners (this one: https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Training/getting-started-with-vuforia-in-unity-2017-2-beta.html).

I think that I did everything correctly since my 3d model is rendering and the tracking is correct but it is flying around a black space. The webcam texture is not rendering. I have seen many tutorials already (but with older versions of vuforia) and for the other people everything works without doing anything else.

I'm using Unity 2017.2.0f3 and vuforia 6.5. My hardware is macbook pro 2016 13'' with FaceTime HD Camera.

Also I don't have any errors in the console when playing the scene.

Any idea what's the problem?

Thank you very much in advance!

Hello urbezon,

If you open up the Vuforia Configuration, do you see any errors or warnings in the webcam section? Are you able to deploy to a device and confirm if you see a black screen there or not?

Thanks,

Hello Strasza!

Thank you very much for the reply!

I have built and run the app both on an android (samsung galaxy s7) and mac os 10.12.5. In both cases, the 3d model is rendered and tracked but the background is totally black.

Are you just using the sample targets, or have you imported your own device database? Are you seeing any errors in the Unity logs or ADB Logcat?

Thanks,

I'm glad it is working for you now, but I'm concerned as to why it wasn't working in the first place. Please let me know if you run into the issue again.

Thanks,
