500 error on calls to usageservice

We have received a report from our client who says that the Vuforia engine generates many calls to "https://usageservice.prod.vuforia.com/v2/venm", and these calls generate a 500 error.

These errors do not cause any issue with the app's functionality, so fixing this is not important. Even so, is there a way to disable these calls?

We are using Unity 2019.2.2f1 with Vuforia 8.38, and building to Android and iOS.
