About OD file of Vuforia's scanner application

Hello I have a question about the scanner app that comes with Vuforia. We're using the scanner application to scan the shape of an object, right? So if I have a 3D modeled file, can I make it an object data file? The reason I ask this question is because I'm wondering if I can output the 3D model through a 3D printer and create the object data of the 3D model used in this output and recognize it as an AR. I would really appreciate it if you could help me. Thanks

The scanner app is currently the only way to create a .od file for Vuforia to use.

The process you're describing could be used in our upcoming Model Targets feature however. You can get more information on Model Targets here: http://info.vuforia.com/modeltargets
