(Android) Black camera first time I install the App

Hello to everyone,

for some reason, the first time that I install the App on an Android Device, Vuforia ask me the Camera Permission, I tap on "Allow" and the screen remain black, the console on the Device Manager doesn't log nothing, it seems stuck for some reason. So if I put the app on the background and resume, everything goes fine again. This problem occur ONLY the first time that I install the App on a new Device. I tried several device, and I had the the same problem.

 

Any idea? I'm using Vuforia 8.1.11, Unity 2019.1.0f2 .

Hi @chrismadda, @thordickinson and @chrismadda

Could you please confirm the Vuforia and Unity version you are using?

As mentioned before in this thread with the initial poster had a specific issue to 8.1.1 reported in https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/unity/known-issues-unity-20191

which has been resolved starting with 8.3.x
