ARM64 support for Unity Android

I recently updated to Unity 2018.3 and so far the ARM64 is working great, but I noticed that Vuforia does not support ARM64 on Android. Is that correct? And if yes, is there any information, when it will be supported?

Hello,

For Android we support armeabi-v7a (32 bit) arm64-v8a (64-bit) and x86 (32-bit).

Thanks,

Well yes you are right that you support Android 64-bit in your native variant, but I'm in Unity and there it does not.

Hello,

Yes, my mistake and you are correct: Vuforia Engine currently *does not* include arm64-v8a builds in Unity.

I've started a dialogue with the product team to better understand our product roadmap for support.

Yes, I confirm there is no support for ARM64 into Unity with Vuforia. I still have a black screen each time I try to launch my app when compilied with ARM64 IL2CPP into Unity 2018.3.3. I'm using Vuforia 8.0.10 for Unity 2018.3.3 on Windows 10.

Vuforia, please, it's not just the developers from this topic, ALL the Android developers need to update the apps to arm64, which so far is not possible for the apps using Vuforia in Unity.

Hello,

I can confirm that support for Android arm64 in Unity is targeted for our next commercial release (Vuforia Engine SDK 8.1). Currently, this release is scheduled for mid-March 2019.

Thanks,

I saw that in your recent version (Vuforia Engine v8.1.7) you added support for Android arm64 to the Vuforia Unity Extension. But what version of Unity do I need for this?

Hi, I would like to confirm that arm64 is working in Unity 2019.1.6f1 and vuforia 8.3.8. Just tested and works nicely. Cheers.
