Black Background of AR-Camera on Android using the LWRP

September 3, 2019 - 6:26am #1

Hello everybody,

AR Camera is showing a black background screen if I make a build on my Android device using the LWRP in Unity.

Without using the LWRP its working on same Android device. In the Unity Editor its working also fine.

The previous  LWRP Additional Camera Data (script) shows also no effect on this.

Unity version:;  2019.2.2f1

Vuforia: 8.3.8

LWRP: 6.9.1

Android device : Samsung Galaxy S9

Hey again,

We've currently got it working by removing OpenGLES3 and replaced it with OpenGLES2 within the PlayerSettings.

We've tested on two Android phones with both of them working well.

Unity: 2019.2.3f1

Vuforia: 8.3.8

LWRP: 6.9.1

Hey @mcotora,

We've added an Autofocus Controller and a Smooth Camera script to ensure that the camera runs smoothly on the device. Both these scripts work before loading on LWRP.

We shall be conducting some tests with the Core sample apps and LWRP to see how we can get around this current issue we are facing.

Thanks!

Hello,

I've tried reproducing the issue with the Vuforia Core sample apps, 8.3.8, Unity 2019.2.2f1, LWRP: 6.9.1 on 8.0 android device however without success.

Could you please provide a print-screen with what are you seeing and confirm if you made any changes to the AR Camera?

Thank you.
