i can't find "Vuforia AR" checking box in my unity2017.2.0b8, Edit -> Project Settings -> Player Settings -> XR Settings.
When you install the Unity
When you install the Unity beta there is a Vuforia component you can select to install. You can try running the installer again and select it or try reinstalling the beta. This all works on Mac OS. I've attached a screenshot of the installation step where you can select the Vuforia SDK.

By enabling "Vuforia support" with the Unity installer you would expect everything to be included.
