Cannot find ARCamera App License Key Field

Topic solved

Hi,

I am very new to Unity and Vuforia. I am looking at the tutorials from youtube on how to start AR application.

I downloaded the latest Unity and Vuforia package for unity (vuforia-unity-6-2-10.unitypackage).

But when I would like to add the license key from Vuforia, the App License Key field is missing.

Also, forgive my ignorance, the fields that I am seeing in the tutorial is different from what I have in my PC.

I also tried to install it in MAC, but the same, no App License key field. I already changed the mode from Debug to Normal and Normal to Debug,

but still the same problem.

I hope you could help me on this.

Kind regards,

gerry

Hi,

As the post below mentioned, if you are not able to see the Vuforia Engine GameObjects than something happened to the installation.

Could you please check in the Package Manager or based the version try to re-install the SDK version?

If you try to install/re-install the latest version, 8.6, please go over this article: https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/vuforia-engine-package-hosting-for-unity.html

Thank you.

Cannot find ARCamera App License Key Field

Hello @HellySoparkar,

I can't speak for the YouTube videos, but here's where you can find the Vuforia Engine license key field in the Unity Editor: Window->Global->App License Key

If this field *does not* appear in the Editor then I'd consider whether the Vuforia installation was incomplete, or has become corrupted.

Thanks,

Cannot find ARCamera App License Key Field

Hi,

I am extremely new to unity. I am trying to create an app with UNITY 2018.3.12f 1. I'm trying since few days to import "APP LICENSE KEY" BUT CAN NOT FIND UNDER Vuforia engine configuration.

Seen many videos on youtube and I already checked,

1) Build platform----- switch to android---- CHECKED

2) Player setting----- Augmented reality supported---- CHECKED

3) From Vuforia---- AR camera, image as well imported

then i click on "target image" which leads to vuforia engine developer portal. From which i get LICENSE KEY.

NOW,

when i click on AR CAMERA and than click on "Vuforia Engine Eonfiguration" I should be able to see "app license key" field under "GLOBAL"

BUT I CAN NOT SEE ANY FIELD UNDER GLOBAL

It would be very helpful to me if you can guide me with this problem.

Regards,

Helly Soparkar

How to Deal With Cannot Adding A License Key From Vuforia

When you want to develop an AR project in Unity, you need to get a development key from Vuforia. Then, you need to add it to AR camera license key. Firstly, you should log in to Vuforia Developer and click on Develop menu. Then, click on “Get Development Key”. Write your project name to remember later and check the box below which includes Vuforia Developer Agreement. Finally, click on “Confirm” and your key will be ready. Then, open the key under License Manager menu bar, copy the key to paste on Unity.

In Unity, click on AR camera. If you cannot find license key part on your inspector, you should enable AR configuration.

Click on Edit on the top, go to Project Settings and open Player part. You will find a box says “Vuforia Augmented Reality”. Check that box and you can continue to prepare your project.

You can find the related images on the attachment.

Cannot find ARCamera App License Key Field

Hello gerrylaroza,

You'll need to activate Vuforia in Player Settings -> XR Settings and then you'll be able to add an ARCamera from the GameObjects -> Vuforia menu in the top bar.

Thanks,

Hi - Select 'ARCamera' from your scene. (Assuming you imported vuforia package into Unity, and added ARCamera from Vuforia Prefabs). On the Inspector panel, Click on Open Vuforia Configuration, and you will see the option to put in the license key.

Hope it helps.
