Cloud Recognition issue

April 26, 2019 - 3:41am #1

I got cloud recognition working, everything works fine, target is recognized and new image target instantiated.

The only problem is that the image target is created but not tracked, to track it I need to cover my camera and reframe it, then it will track it correctly.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok I found the issue

I was using a target which was already present in our local target database,

So it was tracking the one created at first start and not the cloud instantiated one.

Is there any way to tell the tracker to not track certain image targets?

I know the best solution would be to remove duplicate targets from the local database, but my reasoning is that Vuforia would use less resources if only a handful of targets are active (only the ones needed)

Edit: forgot to mention, I am already setting all the image target behaviours enabled to false, but I suspect this only avoids updates getting called on the behaviour but it still gets recognized by vuforia.

Hello,

Do you see the same behavior with the Vuforia Engine Core samples? That is likely your best code reference.

Thanks,
