Code signature invalid in Xcode

Hello,

I'm trying to build an AR app in Xcode. After installing the app on my phone, a black screen appears.

This is te console of Xcode:

dyld: Library not loaded: @rpath/Vuforia.framework/Vuforia

  Referenced from: /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/E1019C82-4AF5-4E35-A615-2BC12A67B05F/DumboAR.app/DumboAR

Reason: no suitable image found.  Did find:

How can I solve it?

Thank you for the attention,

Elio

Hi,

Could you please try an run the sample iOS project on your device? and let us know if that worked.

Below are 2 articles that show how-to:

Hello,

it looks like I have exactly the same problem.

I build my app in Unity and try to install it via XCode on an iPad. This worked for several weeks now.

But today when XCode tried to start the app, a black screen appears and I get the following error message:

dyld: Library not loaded: @rpath/Vuforia.framework/Vuforia

  Referenced from: /private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/42A9148A-7132-49B3-8DDD-9B970B3D616B/LegionARius.app/LegionARius

Reason: no suitable image found.  Did find:

/private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/42A9148A-7132-49B3-8DDD-9B970B3D616B/LegionARius.app/Frameworks/Vuforia.framework/Vuforia: code signature invalid for '/private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/42A9148A-7132-49B3-8DDD-9B970B3D616B/LegionARius.app/Frameworks/Vuforia.framework/Vuforia'

/private/var/containers/Bundle/Application/42A9148A-7132-49B3-8DDD-9B970B3D616B/LegionARius.app/Frameworks/Vuforia.framework/Vuforia: stat() failed with errno=25

I tried to install a simple demo project, placing only a cube on an image target,

but even this project does not work and results in the same error message.

I'd be grateful for some advice on how to resolve this issue.

Andrew

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem, described in https://developer.vuforia.com/forum/unity/xcode-pados-1331-crash

Please try to investigate this! Seems to be a heavy issue.

Thank you.

Hi @AndrewMcLoud,

Unfortunately I was *not* able to reproduce the issue, tested it with a simple project and core sample apps.

Did you upgrade xcode/Unity before it stopped working? Try cleaning the project in xcode.

Thank you.

Code signature invalid in Xcode

Hello,

thank you for your quick response!

Indeed I upgraded from Unity 2019.2.17f1 to 2019.2.19f1 and XCode to version 11.3.1 (11C504) [XCode upgrade after it stopped working].

I just tried to install the simple cube project on the iPad again, using Unity 2019.2.17f1, Vuforia version 8.6.7 and XCode 11.3.1 (11C504).

XCode builds and installs the app successfully. First it doesn't start, because the developers certificate has to be verified.

After doing so and trying to start again, the screen stays black and XCode shows this error message (see the screenshot).

Thank you for your help!

Andrew

Hello,

as described here this seems to be an Xcode issue coming with 13.3.1 and covering multiple frameworks.

See here:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/60015309/running-ios-apps-causes-runtime-error-for-frameworks-code-signature-invalid

Does this behavior fit for your case?

Hello CarmenVuforia,

thank you very much for the hint!

It really seems that version 13.3.1 causes this issue.

Hi,

I tried today to install and run my app via Xcode with a paid developer account and it worked fine.

So this seems to be an option if you have the money or someone with a paid account :D

Hope they fix it soon.

Thanks!

Hello,

Me and my company are currently trying to run Vuforia, Unity, and Xcode to create a test IOS App., and we are also encountering the same issue and come across the same error message word for word. We are currently testing out the samples provided by Vufroria ( see post above) to see if we get the same issue. If not we will try to attach an Payed Apple developer account tosee if that is the issue, if so we will confirm it here.
