Detecting versions of an image as a single image target

March 28, 2020 - 10:47pm #1

I have an image that will undergo changes with time. One month it may look a certain way, and next month it will change. Think of a cover of a magazine as an example. Can I have Vuforia detect multiple versions of an image as the same imagetarget and spawn the scene?

Thanks for the reply. User defined target will not work in my case, since my imagetarget is double sided, it needs to show one scene on the front side, and another scene when it detects the back side. The usage of only a certain part of the image will also not work in this case as the page can extensively change from month to month.

I'm wondering if the correct way is to create multiple image targets, one for each month, and parent the scene based on the image that gets detected. My only concern is overhead here but I guess I'm just going to implement and see it firsthand.

Hi,

if you have a part in the picture that doesn't change you could only use this part as the ImageTarget.

Otherwise you could use User Defined Targets:
