An error occurred while trying to enable vuforia engine play mode

Currently I'm struggling pretty badly with getting the AR camera/Webcam to work. There are no errors in the console, however there is one in the ARcamera-object: An error occurred while trying to enable vuforia engine play mode. I can press play without any errors in the console, however the scene stays black.

I tried to use my build in webcam, a trust webcam (which I added in the custom-code). 

Also I had some trouble installing Vuforia on my MacBook 2012 (Catalina 10.15.7), though all the errors got fixed so I'm doubting it has something to do with compatibility. 

Any help?
