Extended Tracking doesnt work

im trying some features of vuforia arkit, i would try extended tracking but doesnt work, i followed this guide https://library.vuforia.com/articles/Training/Extended-Tracking but for unity it only says to check the box, i tried checking and with some script but it doesnt work and i dont know why, Anyone can say me if i'm forgetting something ?

These are both things that can be possible with Extended Tracking, but they are not best practices. Extended Tracking is more for utilizing features of the environment to improve tracking performance and sustain tracking even when the target is no longer in view.

Removing the image entirely after detecting the tracking has begun can work for some apps, but accurate tracking cannot be guaranteed.

Hello Strasza,

Correct me if i am wrong, 

Extended tracking means once the object is tracked if we remove marker, object will not disappear??

or we  can track it from far distance??

Hello Marcov,

I just wanted to make sure when you say "vuforia arkit" you're just talking about our SDK and not Apple's ARKit.

With that said, I just tested Extended Tracking by downloading the sample app and turning it on for one of the sample Image Targets. Everything worked fine for me. Could you test this and see if it works for you?

Something to keep in mind when working with Extended Track is that it needs to be able to extract features from the environment. Plain colors, repetitive patterns, and lack of details around the Image Target could make it difficult for the Extended Tracking to succeed.
