Not sure if this is the best place for this thread. If not, happy to shift elsewhere.
We're curious what's going on with the front camera support deprecation on the most recent Vuforia build (7.5.26).
We are developing AR experiences that use this front camera and would like to find out why this is, is it going to be replaced with something else and/or roughly what the timeframe for removing the feature is.

Unfortunately, I do not have much of an update for you.
Front camera support is still deprecated (and planned to be removed) but at this time I'm not sure which will be the last version that Vuforia will still support it.

There are probably reasons to deprecate the front camera, however I believe that there is a big potential in front camera + AR for taking selfies with AR characters, we did that for an event and it was really succesfull.

The suppression of the front
The suppression of the front camera support is a very strange idea...
I suppose it's a technical choice or a cost choice, but it closes some AR experiences.
Do you think there will be possibilities that this feature will be reintegrate in a next release ?
