Ground Plane fails on Pixel3, works on S8 and iOS

Hello,

We're building a cross-platform app utilizing Vuforia's Ground Plane.

Placement works on Samsung Galaxy S8, iOS, but fails on Pixel3. Just doesn't find it at all. ARCore is disabled.

Unity 2018.2.5f1

Vuforia 7.2.23

Updating is not an option, we tried several versions with a failure to build on Vuforia's end.

What could be the issue?

The Samsung 8 has been calibrated for Vuforia VIO, but the Pixel 3 has not. Thus, the Pixel 3 does not appear in our list of Fusion supported devices:
