Hardware does not support this app

November 21, 2017 - 6:45am #1

Using Unity 2017.3beta with Vuzix m300 and Lenovo Phab 2.

We create a basic app and on launch, it hangs for a short while and then display a message complaining "Your hardware does not support the application. Sorry"

It crashes right after Vuforia initialiazes.

Earlier we tried with UNity 2017.2 and it worked on Lenove Phab2 but we would need Vuzix so we moved to Unity 2017.3.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi,

So yes it was actually the architecture set to arm7. Setting to FAT actually solved the problem.

The result is still quite inappropriate. I have seen announcement that Vuforia-Vuzix work together but if there would be videos of expecting results, it could tell me if we did something wrong.

At the moment, augmented parts are offset from expected position, sliding in space as the user moves, jittering, basically not working.

We tested the same project on different smartglasses and it just works totally fine.

Hello again,

Could you check in Player Settings -> Other Settings -> Configuration for what your "Device Filter" field is set to? This needs to either be set to 'x86" or "FAT" otherwise you will encounter the "Your hardware does not support the application" error. Can you confirm that this field is set to one of these values?

Thanks,

Hei Strasza,

1 / Unity 2017.2.0f3 & Vuforia version 6.5.22 -- this worked on all tested devices. On Vuzix it has the problem of orientation turning around and tracking is not at acceptable level. App recognizes the marker but AR items do not stick where they should.

2 / Unity 2017.3.0b10 & Vuforia 7.0.26. This crashes on all tried android devices on Vuforia start with "A/libc: Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV), code 1, fault addr 0x0 in tid (UnityMain). So a zero-pointer in Unity Main Thread right after Vuforia reports it is initialized.

Hey LucasC,

Which build of 2017.3 do you have? What is the version number of Vuforia (you can see this in the Vuforia Configuration)?

Thanks,
