How to get AR Core working with Vuforia?

Hi,

I have read that Vuforia can leverage AR Core (Android) but i can't find any tutorial / article with a clear explanation about what to import / set in Unity to get this working.

- There is a AR Core Unity package (https://github.com/google-ar/arcore-unity-sdk/releases). Should you install this in Unity?

- There is an AR Core checkbox in XR Settings. Should i check this also?

- What about the minimal API level? Should it be set to Android 7?

...

So a lot of questions that i have because Vuforia didn't make it clear how to use AR Core in combination with Vuforia. Offcourse if found this article (https://library.vuforia.com/content/vuforia-library/en/articles/Solution/arcore-with-vuforia.html) but this one is also not clear and doesn't mention anything about the import package and the AR Core settings in Unity.

 

So Vuforia (devekopers) does anyone knows how to get the AR rolling in Unity?

Hello Mark,

The instructions in the second link you shared are all that are needed to get Vuforia to leverage ARCore in Unity. You should not activate ARCore in XR Settings or anything else, only follow the instructions from that page and Vuforia will leverage ARCore on compatible devices.
