The import Vuforia Ground Plane is incorrect and cannot be packaged as apk

November 8, 2018 - 7:37pm #1

Hi,

My version is Unity2018.2.14f1,The Vuforia Ground Plane case downloaded from the assetstore was incorrect, showing the Unable to find shader Custom/VideoBackground, which is the reason why I cannot package as apk. The screenshot of the attachment is the specific error information.

In addition, I downloaded arcore1.3.0 according to the official tutorial, but it cannot be recognized in the plane after being packaged. Do you need any other configuration?

Thanks

Vuforia recently moved the video background shaders to Vuforia assets and out of the Unity Editor. This should go away when accepting the popup message to update assets.

If you did not get the popup, you can resolve the issue by taking the following steps:

  1. Exit the Unity Editor
  2. Open the project's Asset folder
  3. Delete the Vuforia directory
  4. Start the Unity Editor
  5. Create a Vuforia Game Object in an empty scene

This will force Unity to re-import Vuforia and should remove the error.
